Information and Communication Ministry

  1. Purpose
    • Ministry that serves as a channel of communication to the community through information dissemination regarding the Shrine’s general info, projects and activities.
    • It also properly documents in photo and video all the Shrine activities.

  2. Functions & Responsibilities
    • Identifies information and communication needs of the Shrine such as publication, online, audio-visual, arts, and activities’ documentation.
    • Ensures effective flow of information between Shrine Rector to ministry, to Shrine volunteers and to the churchgoers.
    • Documents well in photo and video all the various Shrine activities.
    • Publishes the official Shrine newsletter, The Master, containing shrine updates, religious articles and other literary piece.
    • Regularly updates the Shrine’s websites and social media accounts in coordination with the Office of the Rector and the Shrine office staff.
    • Prepares designs, lay-outs photos & other images and prints the tarpaulin needs, posters & the like regarding Shrine’s seasonal and special activities for purposes of public announcements.

  3. Sub-Ministries
    • Documentation
      1. Documents in photo and video the seasonal and special activities of the Shrine.
      2. Stores and maintains in CD or DVD / Hard drive all the photo and video documentations and secures its storage in a safe place for future reference.
      3. Prepares the needed photos and videos of Shrine activities that would be needed for the Shrine’s website and social media accounts.
      4. Prepares exhibits/public displays of activities or announcements of Rector Council’s projects and Shrine activities in general.
    • Publication
      1. Prepares the contents, articles, advertisements, etc for the printing of the official newsletter of the Shrine, “The Master”.
      2. Coordinates with the Temporalities Ministry on sponsorships for the printing of the official newsletter.
      3. Designs / lay-outs photos & other images for the tarpaulin needs & posters regarding Shrine’s seasonal and special activities for purposes of public announcements.
      4. Provides relevant & religious articles needed for the Shrine’s official website and social media accounts.
      5. Assists in the formulation and maintenance of the materials and other needed content for the Shrine’s projector & wide screen, in coordination with the Shrine’s Office.
    • Social Media
      1. Promotes Shrine of Jesus and its activities through website and social media accounts.
      2. Provides photo and video highlights uploaded on Shrine’s website and social media accounts pertaining to current Shrine activities.
      3. Regularly updates the Shrine’s website twice a month and social media accounts daily or at least weekly.
      4. Coordinates with the Shrine’s Office on schedules of weddings & baptism to incorporate into the Shrine’s website and social media accounts.

  4. Composition
    • A chairperson appointed by Shrine Rector that heads and coordinates three sub-ministries.
    • Each sub-ministry has a coordinator duly appointed by the Office of the Rector.
    • 5 members which are appointed by the Shrine Rector, ideally coming from each Shrine organization, being chosen as well by the Shrine Rector himself:
      • Special Ministers of the Holy Communion
      • Lectors & Commentators Guild
      • Ladies of the Altar
      • Servants of the Altar
      • Music Ministry & others that the Office of the Rector appoints.
    • Outside resource persons may be tapped as the need arises.

  5. Term of Office
    • One year subject to renewal and unless the Office of the Rector does otherwise.
