The Christmas Season chimes in once again. Despite our current situation that has engulfed us for almost two years, celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ should not be forgotten.
The highlight, along with the merriment, is, of course, the food. And for some families who can afford it, Christmas wouldn’t be complete without a scrumptious ham on the table.
For the Shrine of Jesus Community, these delectable hams are symbols of answering the call to help our brothers and sisters in need, through a raffle called, Hamon na Pamasko, sa Simbahan Tulong Ko. Twelve bone-in-leg hams will be raffled off during the Christmas Eve Mass on December 24, 7:30 PM.
The proceeds of this raffle will be used for the various pastoral projects of the Shrine of Jesus. In the previous years, the Shrine has put up fundraising projects such as concerts and raffles to support programs that include donations to the PGH Pediatric Cancer Patients ward, building of homes, classrooms, halls, and chapels in Albay, Palawan, and Davao, to name a few. The Shrine of Jesus also carried out outreach projects such as medical missions and relief operations during calamities.
Each ticket costs only Php 20.00 and may be purchased at the Shrine of Jesus during the Holy Masses.
