After the series of announcements and invitations made before the Shrine’s 22nd Fiesta Celebration, a total of 13 creative entries were submitted for the Youth Ministry’s project entitled, “It’s qu-ART-ine Time!” The Shrine of Jesus’ Poster Making Design Contest that was open for ages 6-15 years old.

All the participants created their respective artistic masterpiece on how they understood and perceived the given theme: “Sa Pananalangin Nagkakaisa, Ngayong Panahon ng Pandemya”. They used different coloring and art materials based on their choice in which some participants focused on how the frontliners helped many people, while others highlighted the importance of prayer during this worldwide crisis brought about by COVID-19.

The artwork made by Marc Wayne Clemente, a 12-year-old boy was a crowd favorite both from the judges (composed of the Shrine Rector, the Rector’s Council and the Shrine Organization Coordinators) and online votes based on people’s reactions they have submitted. His poster design entitled, “Iisang Panalangin para sa kapayapaan at kaligtasan natin” was created using colored pencils, ballpen and pencil. It shows giving importance to different frontliners during this pandemic; that behind these people is the Church or still, the people’s Faith to God.

Peter Nathaniel Evangelista’s artwork entitled “Our Faith during the New Normal (Ang aking Pananampalataya sa Panahon ng New Normal” became the 2nd Prize. He focused more on the importance of prayer during this crisis; that despite the closure of many establishments including church, people should not stop praying and attending Holy Masses even through online.

Winners received Php 3,000 for the 1st Prize and Php 1,500.00 for the 2nd Prize.
